City 8 takes place in the Combine Metroplex that was formerly Tokyo, Japan. As with City 17, the Universal Union has installed a Citadel and surrounding walls, and the rest is all pretty much common knowledge. I intended to show a Combine city that perhaps embraced the new way of life moreso than C17, where the Tokyo style could blend in with the CCA's trademark structures.
The City 8 storyline will take place on the TnB servers starting from mid-January 2010, as we attempt to do something refreshing with HL2 RP.

City 8 Central District - Basic Outline
Based in the most central areas of the city, within the Citadel walls.
Contains apartments, shops, food stalls, alleyways, slums, offices, sewers, subways, tunnels and of course the Nexus and Citadel.
Architecture inspired by Japanese and Combine styles, mixed together.
3 main Combine Civil Housing complexes, A / B / C, with multiple rooms and access.
Large ration distribution depot, with sit-in facilities.
Civil Workers Union central office block for management workers.
The location of Amaria Corporation central headquarters, which also harbours several offices and laboratories.
Animated Neon Signs
A vast network of tunnels and disused subway stations run underneath the city, often used by the resistance.
The Metro-Link access network allows Combine APCs vast access to any area of the city in a short timeframe. This network runs throughout the city to each district.
Combine Civil Protection central APC bay allows distribution of vehicles towards the different tunnels.
Nexus Central Command Interface allows direct control of the Dispatch system, from the core access point.
Access to the Administrators office from below (same as the district 9 version).
Optimised fully, with all windows breakable and multiple access points to each building (I hate knowing theres only one way in and out of any situation!)
Custom Graffiti, Dispatch sounds and models/textures across the whole district.
Judgement Waiver console allows the Citadel to be put into a state of alert.
Epic 3D Skybox - Puts you right in the middle of the City.
Most EP1/EP2 models/textures packed, but not ALL. CSS is required.
Combine doors / security checkpoints locked closed for Tacoscript coding. They will NOT open in singleplayer.
Huge amounts of easter-egg decals and so forth relating to TacoNBanana.
